After this weekend’s scorching weather, well for the UK in the middle of March it is, I think that everyone has started day dreaming about summertime, sand, sea…and beachwear of course. While my mind was wandering to this exact thought, ironically, to my delight I received a lovely bikini from the ‘David swimwear’ through the door.
‘David swimwear’ is an Italian swimwear brand which was new to the UK for the SS13 season providing a shaping collection, they have a brand new ‘solutions’ shaping range for 2014. Since the new SS14 has just become available from UK Swimwear and Mio Destino , I was sent a bikini from their SS13 ‘pin up’ range.
It is a blue and white stripped bikini which has a nautical chic style. In the close up shots you can see that the bikini has small blue embellishments (sequins) on the top and bottoms, which if I am being brutally honest I normally would hate. However, with this set the sequins aren’t ‘over the top’ or ‘tasteless’; it adds an attractive uniqueness quality to it that I really like!
My favourite feature of this bikini is that it has a padded push up bikini top; for us ladies who are not fortunate enough to have a large cleavage padding gives our chest an extra uplift and boost. With swimwear I always try to find ones with padding, I feel that when you wear them they give a confidence boost enabling me to feel more comfortable with my body on the beach.
If you are not confident in a bikini don’t worry this swimwear has three groups for all shapes and sizes – a young, dynamic range called “David Fashion”; a sophisticated shaping selection called “David Solutions” (featuring body sculpting tummy control) and “David Iconique” a range of cover ups and kaftans.
In regards to price, bikini sets and swimsuits range among £6o – £100 approx. which is a tad more expensive than your average high street store. However, for a designer swimwear piece the price scope seems to the typical.
What are your plans for beachwear this summertime?
