BloggersLove #BLFW Day One

I was contacted a few weeks ago by the lovely Danielle from Bloggers Love and asked if I could be a VIB (Very Important Blogger) for the amazing Bloggers Fashion Week for three days between 24th of March – 26th of March… Of course I happily obliged and was so excited to be part of this fabulous blogger adventure.

All three days of the Bloggers Fashion Week are going to be held over two levels of Penthouse London in Leicester Square.

The first day of the Bloggers Fashion Week event was themed as ‘Summer Garden Chic’. Outfit wise I decided to go for pastels, what better way to say summer sunshine than to go to deliciously sweet colours as you can see below!

I was accompanied to the event by the lovely Beth from BeautyInBeta, we got to know all the other lovely VIBs which some were familiar faces Katie from Desperately Seeking Freedom, Donalyn from Love from Twinkle, Christine from XtineLoves, Amanda from Monochromequeen, Lottie from Love, Beauty & Spa, Katie from Grabble, Em from My Pale Skin, April from Beautiface, Louise from Inspire Magazine and of course the gorgeous girls from Blogging Gals – Zaineb, Amber and Vanessa…the list goes on and on.

All VIBs were asked to attend a tad earlier for the tea party where we were able to have a sneak peak at some of the brands as well as some goodies!

MothLoves Ring from London Jewellery School

One of the exciting things we were able to do as a VIB is that we were given a jewellery making class with London Jewellery School. We were all taught by the talented founder of the London Jewellery School; Jessica Rose; how to make our own cocktail ring. You can see above how I did, yes of course I went for pink!

The event itself showcased a range of clothing companies, small jewellery boutiques, there were lots of samples and products on show on the two levels of the club.

The designers included – Apache Rose, Made, Mrs Pomeranz , Rufflee, Trendasy, Victoria Geaney, Guirado Design, Maro, MODEL.IT , The City Rack, I W Y C and many more!

Although they all had alluring pieces on display, I have selected a few of my most wanted designers!

|| I W Y C ||

My first has to be ‘I W Y C’ ( I Want Your Clothes) is an online fashion brand, they had on display their spring collection which is just up my street, it’s all about super girly pastel colours and gorgeous floral print. My favourite piece was the pastel blue dress retailing at £50 which is the average price of a Topshop item. Unfortunately their website isn’t ready yet, but you can direct message them on the  ‘I W Y C’ twitter account if you want to order any of these gorgeous pieces.

MADE Jewellery MADE Jewellery

The pieces on display that evening by ‘Made’ definitely caught my magpie eye; they are a fashion brand that produces stunning fair trade jewellery, leather goods and accessories from their workshop in Kenya. Each unique piece in the ‘Made’ collection is hand crafted by highly skilled, dedicated artisans. Their collections are stocked in ASOS and Topshop if you want to check them out! They did hand me a stunning brass handmade bracelet as a gift which I will dedicate a post to, as this brand has some gorgeous pieces.

MODEL.IT Lashes MODEL.IT Lashes Bottom Lashes

As many of you know eye lashes are my guilty pleasure and I couldn’t resist the urge to go check out the ‘MODEL.IT Lashes’ on display. They have been produced by the gorgeous Aisha White runner up from Britain’s Next Top Model cycle 6. MODEL.IT synthetic eyelash extensions are made with synthetic fibres that are handmade which ensures durability in every pair, at least 10 wears! Aisha introduced us to her bottom eyelash extension (Alivia and Petal) which I have never seen in the UK but I am told it’s extremely popular in LA!

|| Guirado Design ||

My final selection has to be ‘Guirado Design’ a label founded by Catalina Guirado, the daughter of Spanish abstract artist Juan Antonio Guirado. It offers a range of stunning scarves featuring a select number of prints from Guirado’s abstract art. The scarves are between £150 – £200, costly I know, but they do ooze pure luxury and I could not keep my eyes of these beauts the prints were so fascinating!
After smoozing with the other bloggers and having a look through all the great brands we were treated to not one but two fashion shows! The first fashion show showcased a multitude of brands. Then we had the pleasure of being shown the new Reiss spring 2014 collection, it was of course stylish but sophisticated which is what we are all used to expecting from this stunning brand used by the lovely new Royal Kate.

I had an incredible but busy day and I can’t wait to tell you guys all about day two in my next post!
