On Sunday I was invited to the London Edge Fashion trade show as a VIP blogger. London Edge was launched by Carole Hunter & Sandra Phillipson; it is dedicated to creative and alternative orientated brands. The day took place in the Business Design Centre near Angel. I was luckily enough to be accompanied to the show by fellow blogger the lovely Em from My Pale Skin Blog.
When we first arrived at the venue I found it incredibly overwhelming, there were such a vast variety of amazing beauty, accessories and fashion brands being showcased- definitely over 200 brands. As VIP bloggers we made our way to the press section; we were greeted by the lovely Sarkia and Nicole who offered us champagne and these delicious cupcakes by very talented people at Tattooed Bakers.
In total there were around 20 of us selected as VIP bloggers, all from different backgrounds and countries (a blogger even came from Los Angeles especially for it). We were given a short explanation by Carole about the event and the plan for the overall day.
The bloggers were then split into two groups and taken around the exhibition to be introduced to the brands. What I adored most had to be the range of brands on show, it was not simply heavy alternative fashion they also had 50s pin up, street fashion etc.
These included Killstar, Double Dice, Coucou Heart, Vanity Project, Disturbia, Dead Lovers, Iron Fist, The Collectif, Manic Panic, Cyber Dog, High Spirit, Twisted Apparel, Jawbreaker, Famous Stars and Straps and many more.
Here is a selection of photos of what Em and I got up to and the pieces that these amazing brands have to offer.
Ps. you will probably notice mid-way the sheer joy on my face when I found the unicorn hoody from Cyber Dog- enjoy!
Only three words that can describe this event – edgy quirky and divine!
Thank you again to the lovelies at London Edge for such a great time, I really enjoyed myself.
