I first had the pleasure of laying eyes on the Verityanne collection at a Bloggers Love event a few months ago.
|| Verityanne – Pleated Silver Satin Dress – £35.00 // Topshop – Black Boucle Sweat – £36.00 // New Look – Black Leather Heeled Chelsea Shoe Boots -£59.99 // Ray-Ban – Original Black Wafers– £120.00 // ASOS – Black Tassel Duffle Bag – £30.00||||
All of Verity’s design are hand made by the lovely lady herself, so it can take up to 10 working days for a piece to get to you…but it is really worth it to have a little original outfit made especially for yourself.
Although I adored the entirety of her collection, this stunning pleated silver satin dress really stood out for me. The pleats and silver satin fabric give the dress a charming vintage feel to it; it reminds me of an edgier version of a typical 1940’s outfit. This dress can be dressed up for an evening out with some barely there heels and a clutch bag or if you wanted to keep it simple pair it with some rocking ankle boots ensuring that you will look stylish while relaxing with friends.
For this look I wanted to have a pinch of ‘edginess’ due to the general style of the dress, so therefore I wore a pair of ankle boots from New Look and black tassle duffle bag from ASOS. Accessory wise I decided to wear the dress with a black studded belt, this added a bit more definition to my waist line. I completed the look with a black boucle sweat from Topshop over the dress, if I am honest the main reason being as it was a tad chilly that day when I took the photos!
What are your thoughts on my silver vintage inspired dress?
