This season the high street has been not only rediscovering the classic biker jacket but also reinventing it in new and exciting colours, materials and cuts, which of course brings our all our inner rock chicks.
Taking reinvention to the maximum is this gorgeous suedette biker jacket from V by Very, the perfect twist on a classic leather biker jacket. Although I love classic black leather biker jackets as much as the next person, the faux suede fabric and timeless tan hue makes this piece not only unique but also versatile. One of the key details of this biker is the adjustable belt that enables you to personalise its fit. For me, this jacket can be thrown on top of almost every outfit in your wardrobe from a girly skater dress to an oversized t-shirt and skinny jeans for a masculine edge.
For this look I wanted to show how even the most minimalistic outfit can be given a ‘rocky’ edge to it with this new twist suedette biker jacket. I teamed it up with a pair of simple petite ripped jeans by Topshop and this Pretty Little Thing Jemima blazer dress as a top. Accessories wise I teamed it with this Vivienne Westwood cross body bag, which unfortunately is no longer in stock, however they do have some great alternatives – click here. As the final touch, I wore these beloved Christian Louboutin So Kate Kid heels.
What are your thoughts on the alternative to a classic leather biker jacket?
