I can’t quite believe that it is 2016 already, 2015 was such a fab year for me! I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the support and love I have been fortunate enough to be given and look forward to what new exciting times lie ahead in 2016. So let’s get 2016 started with of course an outfit of the day!
If like me you fancy a change in your outerwear collection this season than look no further than ‘blanket capes’. Blanket capes are the stylish and yet cosy alternative to a jacket or a coat in this icy January weather. This gorgeous light grey blanket cape was sent to me by the lovelies at Becksondergaard, a Danish accessory brand. Not only does it add an edge to any outfit, but being made from 100% soft wool it ensures that you stay snug and warm this winter.
For this look I wanted to show how easy it is to layer up a plain outfit for a winter outing with a blanket cape. I teamed the cape with a simple long sleeve turtle neck top from Missguided and a black H & M intimidation leather skirt. To ensure you stay extra snuggly you can add winter accessories to the outfit, such as I have with this Topshop faux fur pom beanie hat. Shoe wise I decided to team it with the Kori black lycra ankle boots from Public Desire. These stylish little booties definitely have caught not only my eye this season but also a number of other bloggers! Well what is there not to love about them? They are comfortable, reasonably priced and of course super stylish…have you seen the adorable chunky wood effect heel?!
Will you feeling blanket cape-ish this season?
