As many of you may have noticed the bardot trend was THE trend to take over SS16 and does not seem to be going away anywhere fast. Well what is there not to love about it? The bardot is the perfect mix of sweetness and sass!
Since the beginning of the Summer I had been looking for a classic white off the shoulder top, simple? No, not simple. As time passed I began to think I would never find the right one. Well, that was not until I decided to pop into Miss Selfridges and I found the poplin split back bardot top – exactly the one I had imagined. This piece was not only simple and elegant but also featured this gorgeous split back (and as we know I am a big fan of open back clothing).
For this look I wanted to show how even a simple outfit, a white bardot top and a pair Topshop Joni jeans, can be given the ‘fashionista’ touch with the right accessories. So I decided to team the outfit up with these stunning Gaia heels from Reiss in the nude shade. These heels even come in a vinyl material in a light grey shade.
Finally, bag wise I wore a quilted cross body bag in a beautiful cornflower blue shade. This eye catching statement piece was sent over to me by the lovelies at Marc B, I have been wearing with nearly every outfit since. However, if you are not a fan of pastels do not fear Marc B have you covered, the ‘knightsbridge’ also comes in a number of hues including mushroom, pebble grey and classic black.
What are your thoughts on the bardot trend?
