Ok, obviously rocking a pair of black ripped jeans in a look isn’t exactly a groundbreaking fashion trend that will shake up the fashion world.

. Well it has been around for years now, but I just adore how they add an essence of ‘coolness’ to any outfit.

Let’s be honest nearly every girl has crushed on black ripped jeans, what isn’t their to love about them? They are not only stylish but also give an outfit a more mellowed look. However, I have never fancied the idea of forking out £40.00 on a pair of jeans that had in been shredded! So after seeing how easy it was to actually rip your own jeans I decided to take matters into my own hands. I grabbed a pair of plain black skinny jeans from Primark for £11.00 (well least if it all went horrifically wrong I wouldn’t have spent too much) and got to work with a pair of scissors. Et voila you have your very own home made distressed black denim jeans!

For this look I decided to pair the jeans with this gorgeous snuggly grey roll cowl neck swing jumper, a little bargain I found in the New Look sale. I chose to buy the jumper a few sizes larger than my actual regular size as I wanted it to have the oversized look! While shoe wise I paired it with these River Island black leather knee high boots.

What are your thoughts on my home made ripped jeans?

This is my go-to style, I can’t get enough of big jumpers and jeans but hopefully the weather will start improving soon and I can start wearing skirts more often again! Look beautiful 🙂

Love these! I want to do this with a pair of light jeans, but I haven’t yet found a pair I actually like – then worry I’ll be upset if I do ruin them! haha
