As we begin to reach the middle of the year that sinking feeling sets in, yes all we do is work work work, and not in the good way Rihanna was speaking about either. Although there is nothing that we can do to make the time hurry up for the summer break, I always find that dressing up in some fabulous work wear can improve the general mood.
Recently the lovelies at Apricot clothing, a brand that you may have seen not only online but also in the high street store New Look, sent over some of their key pieces to freshen up any work wear wardrobe. I was sent their navy marl ribbed roll neck top, a basic essential for any work outfit and a pair of navy trousers. Not only are the trousers a relaxed and comfortable fit, a necessity when you are working in them all day, but they also have adorable ruched detailing on the waist.
For this look I wanted to show how even a simple comfortable work wear outfit can be invigorated with a touch of colour. Bearing this in mind, I paired the outfit with a simple pair of nude strappy leather courts from River Island, which unfortunately are no longer in stock. However, there is a great alternative in Office Shoes – click here. While accessories wise I wore this beautiful rust coloured suedette bag by Very, it gives the outfit a perfect pop of colour. As you can probably notice it is has very similar features to the lusted over the Chloe ‘Faye’ bag. It is the perfect statement bag for anyone who wants to keep with the trend without paying the large price tag that is attached to a Chloe bag.
How will you be spicing up your workwear closet?
